The band

Unique Party Band is a 5-to-10-piece live band built around three vocalists, a full horn section and a rhythm section that reads the room and adjusts in real time. Standard booking is the 8-piece; the 6-piece is what most corporate parties and weddings actually book.

It's run by the same team behind Barry Shaw Live's 20+ years headlining Fairmont New Year's Eve galas, first at Banff Springs and now at Chateau Lake Louise, the stage that's hosted Cunard, RBC, Telus and BMW. Same team, same standard, now behind a modern party band for corporate parties, holiday nights and wedding receptions across Southern Alberta.

Led by musical director Brandon on saxophone, with four lead vocalists out front and a rotating cast of Calgary's best musicians on a full rhythm and horn section.

01 The Band Master

Brandon

Saxophonist, bandleader and arranger Brandon is the heart of Calgary's pop music powerhouse Unique Party Band. With 25 years of professional playing under his belt, from Caribbean cruise ships with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian to the Broadway stage in What Do Critics Know? in 2015, Brandon brings a polished, global edge to every gig. He is currently Musical Director of both the Unique Party Band and the Barry Shaw Orchestra. When he isn't packing dance floors he is shaping the next generation of musicians through his private instruction. If you want a show that grooves, Brandon's mastery of the horn makes every performance unforgettable.

Madison Boxa

A force of nature from Calgary, Madison Boxa isn't just a singer, she's an experience. Blending sultry R&B with pop sensibility, this powerhouse vocalist commands the stage with a voice that stops time and ignites the room. 03 The Soul Architect

Jessiah Ahh

With a voice dripping with raw, unfiltered soul, Jessiah Ahh turns every event into a masterclass in musicality. A former member of the Juno-nominated group The Earthtones, Jessiah has graced the most prestigious stages in Western Canada, from luxurious New Year's Eve galas in Banff to high-profile showcases in Lake Louise. When this soulful virtuoso steps to the mic, he doesn't just sing; he elevates the entire atmosphere.

04 The Dance Floor Dominator

Al Ahh

If Jessiah is the Soul Architect, his twin brother Al is the "King of Sociability", and he wears the crown proudly. A devastatingly powerful R&B performer, Al possesses the rare gift of turning a polite crowd into an ecstatic dance party. The rule is simple: when Al is in the mix, the dance floor isn't just full, it's packed and begging for more.

Nadi Downs
